Royal Coronation
The Royal Coronation was a ceremony to mark a new Monarch taking power in Woodangees. The royal coronation was a massive and important event every time it occurred, and was accompanied by festivals and celebrations throughout the nation. The only royal ceremony that was typically more celebrated were royal weddings.
Royal Coronations were large events that required the presence of every noble and elected representative in the nation. The ceremony started with the new monarch walking to the throne slowly between the aisles with onlookers on both sides. The monarch would then kneel before an official who would then ask the monarch to swear loyalty to the nation and people of Woodangees. The monarch would recite the royal oath and then the official would place the crown on the monarchs head and they rise and turn to face the gathered crowd, who all stand from their seats. The official ends by saying "Long live the King/Queen" which would then be repeated by the crowd who would all then kneel in reverence to the monarch. Afterwards the monarch would sit on the throne so each noble and representative could one by one kneel before them and swear fealty to the monarch until death. This ceremony was typically followed by a tour of the capital city of Rotelkon by the new monarch to wave to and address their subjects. This tour was done from the back of a carriage so the monarch could easily be seen by the people.
History
The coronation rituals were carried over from the Kingdom of Niccadia, and date back a few centuries. The Last Coronation was the Coronation of King Nicholas III of Woodangees in 2023.
