LeFleur Freehold

County Seat for Silver Stars County, Duchy of Cotton

Freeholder: Count Kilvan deAres ap Leanhaun.
Location: LeFleur freehold is on the far eastern side of the Fondren District, closest to LeFleur's Bluff State Park
Mundane Seeming: LeFleur Freehold is housed in a well preserved bank building that still stands in the modern, artsy city district. The first floor houses a specialty chocolatier and cafe which is open to mortals.
Chimerical Seeming: The building retains it's solid, decorated appearance that it has in the mundane world, but shines with marble opulence. The windows are stained glass, and the top of the building had chimerical gargoyles that prowl the perimeter.
Chimerical Entrance:
Invitations indicate to use the door in the back with the 'golden window' which may seem obtuse until one sees a large old oak door that had a double-pane glass window that sandwiched an intricate art nouveau design of delicate foliage in gold leaf. It glitters in the setting sun. The chimerical Gargoyles guard the door.
Interior: The chocolate shop takes up only a fraction of the first floor real estate. To mundane eyes the rest is 'private offices' but is actually a chimerical deception to keep prying eyes away from the freehold and court within. Downstairs there is a ballroom using the original hardwood floor of the massive mailroom, the balefire hearth, Entryway and kitchens. Second floor houses meeting rooms, a library, bedrooms, offices and all sorts of comfortable places for fae to shelter.
IC Description:
The county seat of Silver Stars was the historical LeFleur Freehold, seated in a attractive historical brick bank building with marble decorations and large grey stone gargoyles on each corner, the freehold was framed by the setting sun and the wide expanse of the foliage of LeFleur's Bluff State Park. It was seated in the revitalized historical Fondren District of Jackson, surrounded by independent bars and restaurants, artsy cafes and shops, art and sculptures and various other additions that added to the curbside appeal of the place. The bank building was massive and took up the majority of a half block on an isolated side street. There was a specialty chocolate shop on the first floor and the whole freehold - and dreaming around the path that led to it, smelled deeply of chocolate and vanilla.
