Conjuction Shores
One of the major causes of lost timber when floating logs down the Auchland River, this 3-mile stretch of whitewater begins just before the base of the split of the river and continues on for nearly 15 miles. Multiple efforts to smooth out the rapids have failed, thanks partially to the frequent landslides that constantly dump in more rocks (changing their shape every few months) and partially to the many logs that have become snared in the rapids over the years. A small outpost on the edge of the river split is manned by loggers, that spend their day trying to guide logs through the rapids. The job pays well, and for good reason, roughly a dozen loggers perish in the rapids yearly.
