Count Francesco Alenis
A man of his early thirties, Count Alenis presides over the few citizens of Pikes Cairn with a firm hand and even temper. A lifelong sportsman, hunter, bachelor, and friend to Countess Caterina Alenis of the neighboring town of Mist Hollow, the count frequently forays into the dangerous Scarecrow Hollow, hunting boar, wolves, and brigands when the need arises. In recent years, though, the count has taken to going on such excursions alone, sparking fanciful rumors of ongoing dalliances with the maids of secluded farms in the countryside, or the faeries of some hidden vale. He has a mild temper but is notoriously ruthless when it comes to negotiating, using any means necessary to gain coin to continue his lavish hobbies.
