Riverend

The Auchland river drops over the edge of a tall marshy plateau at the roaring falls in Riverend. Riverend drops a total of 564 feet in two sections: a 323-foot plunge into a deep, cold pool and a 241-foot cascade fed from the mossy encrusted basin. Riverend is a wet swampy region, and serves as a natural barrier for the town of Downditch that protects them from monsters that would attack them from the north. At the bottom of the falls, the water seeps into a natural underground cave system, that presumably continues underground toward Downditch Bog.
