The Sleepwood

Or as the Wood Elves call it, Sylvanor, is the oldest untouched forest of the known world. It is a magical, but dark haunted place where malicious spirits roam through twisted undergrowth, and tiny darting shapes flit between the trees beyond the edge of vision. The forest itself is like a single consciousness and is aware of all that occurs in its boundaries. It is perfectly willing to crush any that enters her borders, although, if they bear no ill intentions they may e permitted to pass. Many aeons ago, Obad-Hai, the first tree, awoke the roots of the world and taught his folk of love and anger. Sylvanor defies the natural laws of the world, and time does not always flow normally within. Individuals have been lost inside from decades, only to emerge mere minutes later. Sylvanor is divided into several kingdoms, each with an Elven lord or lady and an elder treeman that keeps the forest healthy. All three kingdoms swear fealty to Queen Ambristal and King Kuron.
