The White Scythe

The White Scythe is a legend that has existed for over two millennia. The White Scythe is not actually a weapon or any object for that matter. The scythe is a woman of air elemental blood, and is the greatest living sword master to ever have lived, even trumping those such as Lord Marshal Leon Elefson and Aenarion d'Parravon Val'ianie. Her skills are so legendary that those that wish to learn her techniques must first find her. In order to find her, one must meditate for one month in darkness and utter silence to hear her voice carry on the wind. She will then instruct the possible future pupil to take on the pilgrimage to find her location, consisting of many wild and untamed places. Of a thousand to attempt this pilgrimage, perhaps only one may find her. This is only this easy portion of the tests. From then on, she will train the pupil in swordsmanship that mimic the movements and fluidity of air itself. It takes many years, depending on the individual, to learn the secrets. Once one has learned all he or she can, no one will contest them in combat until they themselves are on deaths door from age. Only two individuals on Mythris today are living pupils of the White Scythe, the King of the Moors and Sir William Korvach.
