War between the then Kingdom of Foridia, and the Kingdom of Alamor

A dark period of history for the Kingdom, and a stain on the honor of the country forever. The war began overnight on June 1st 435 with Alamors' neighbor to the west. The Kingdom of Foridia had long been a great ally to Alamor, for two hundred years they enjoyed great peace. Until the greed of the King of Alamor, Fenris Alamora III grew further than his boundaries should have. He began encroaching into Foridian lands that had been agreed upon in court by Fenris Alamora II. Nonetheless, he ordered outposts be build, and villages to rise to the west of the Tearsong Valley. King Aenarion Val'ianie of Foridia, gave Fenris ample oppurtunities to return back to the agreed upon lands, however Fenris declined the request. On June 1st, just four days before Aenarion's birthday, Aenarion lauchned a lightning attack against the Alamorian garrisons in the west of Alamor. Crushing them in one fell swoop in the matter of hours. Aenarion then released all his prisoners and sent them to return to their King with the message that Foridia will not be trifled with.   The next few weeks were silent, until word from Aenarions spies informed him that Fenris was marching to meet him on the field of battle. Such was the beginning of a treacherous war, where the betrayed eventually was forced to surrender after a ten year campaign of bloodshed. Foridia was forced to become a vassal state of Alamor. Fortunetly for Foridia, King Fenris passed away from sickness not a year after peace was declared. With Fenris without heirs, a new King was elected. King Lorell Cassinian, a just Elven noble that spent his first century as King repairing the damaged ties to Foridia. His bloodline, although heavily diluted, still rules the Kingdom to this day.
