Geography
The continent is of low elevation, not much above sea level, and has no notable points of high or low land elevation. The three largest lakes - Lake Ruiet, Lake Reyim, and Lake Rage - are freshwater lakes. Though they are fed from the ocean, a combination of natural elements and magic purify the waters that feed these large lakes. Ruiet is fed by the Ruield River, Reyim is fed by the Riald River, and Rage is fed by the Roas River. Inland rivers also connect the three great lakes - Rums River from Ruiet to Rayim, Rshya River from Reyim to Rage, and Raues River from Rage to Ruiet.Weather and Seasons
Ryold experiences four seasons, but not a huge range of temperatures. They have fairly mild summers, rarely experiences temperatures above 70*, but also mild winters, which rarely fall below the low 30s. They are more likely to categorize their seasons by the weather and growth patterns - a 12-week Flood season when the temperatures are the coolest and the wetlands, lakes, and rivers are the highest, a 6-week Sea-Storm season while temperatures are rising, a 22-week warm and mild grazing season, and a 12-week rainy season as cool weater returns.Flora and Fauna
The majority of the continent is covered in wetlands and grasslands with some areas of mixed forest. Due to a lack of heavy grazing there are few large grazing animals; both prey and predator animals are usually of the small and medium variety. The marshes themselves are often bracken, close to sealevel as they are, but are still teeming with life. The diversity of animal life is large in all areas - fish, aquatic and land mammals, birds, and amphibians. There are fewer lizards due to the cooler climate.Ryold

Local Phenomena
Sea Storms
Sea-Storms are similar to tornados or hurricanes, and come at the end of the flood season and before the long mild summer when idea grazing happens. They are characterized by the occurance of sudden storms which blow in off of the ocean with rotating wind patterns. For 6 weeks, the continent is buffetted by hundreds of small sea-storms which are an inconvenience, interspersed with a few truly dangerous larger sea-storms.
Natural Resources
Fishing
The brackish marshes and freshwater lakes of Ryold are ideal for fishing and aquatic harvesting of all sorts, and they also have some fishing resources on the coasts.
Peat
Peat harvested from the marshlands is used planet-wide for water filtration, fuel, and agriculture.
