Personal history
Alfred was raised by his paternal grandparents Valli & Timm Viken. Unfortunately, Marcella, his mother, died while giving birth to Alfred. This crushed Richard Viken, his father, to his core. His father ended up abandoning Alfred and all his siblings. Alfred was the youngest of 11 children, named Katherine, Marie, Theodoric, Anne, Kameyo, Zarya, Agnes, Randal, Oudart, and Arne. His older sisters Katherine and Marie, tried to take care of Alfred and the rest of the siblings. However, they started receiving courting requests. Each one received a love token from their respected courters. These family changes were complex for Theodoric, and he didn't want to burden the responsibility of raising his younger siblings. He took off and, to this day, hasn't contacted any of the family. So the rest of the children went to live with Valli & Timm Viken.
Alfred and the rest of his siblings grew up in a large home located on a farm in the Kingdom of Malgos, not too far from Solva. Alfred had several friends growing up and generally had a very normal life. That was until the second war broke out all over the Continent of Renstrom. When Alfred was younger, he heard many stories of his father's heroic exploits. He learned that his farthers' name was Knight Richard Viken and that he is the nephew to the Queen of Malgos Arent Malgos. Alfred and his brothers Randal, Oudart, and Arne signed up with the Royal Malgos Guards.
Alfred and his brothers served in the Royal Malgos Guards for a few years and saw some combat. Then, he and his brothers got appointed to the same patrol. They noticed an enemy scouting party enter Malgos from the north. They quickly intercepted the assassins; however, Randal got injured in the combat. Nevertheless, Alfred and his brothers each received medals of service and are known as heroes for preventing the assassination of Representative Eritrea Potter. After the war came to a close, his brothers went back to the farm in Solva. However, he felt like his calling in life wasn't done, so he set off to the Mercenary Guilds in Aceitunas. The actions and events with this organization ended up being the downfall of Alfred.
A wise-looking and very charismatic man came to the Mercenary Guild and ended up hiring every spare mercenary. Alfred agreed to the contract as he didn't want to pass up on the gold. He also couldn't pass up on the opportunity to serve again. Things started fine with simple missions such as an armed escort for a caravan heading from Aceitunas to Mount Roma. Then on one task, the mercenaries started working with Silver Shadow Clan activities. He received a contract to guard an artisan shop while members of the Silver Shadow Clan would work inside. Then one day, guards from Mount Roma came in and arrested everyone for a gold piece counterfeiting operation. Everyone that was guarding and inside the artisan shop got arrested for their part in the crime. However, every member of the Silver Shadow Clan and the mercenary guild guards got dismissed. They did not know why or how. Alfred went on with his normal activities. Then the Silver Shadow Clan came and requested his services again. This time he tried to refuse; however, they provided him with a document signed by the King of Mount Roma. The paper said all those involved in the counterfeiting operation would have to work as my royal guard as punishment. Alfred was very puzzled by this but grabbed his spear and headed off to Mount Roma.
While in Mount Roma, everything seemed strange. Daily activities seemed like he was unwanted in the city. However, he did notice more and more former members of the Silver Shadow Clan and various mercenaries getting hired as extra city guards. Then one day, he was requested into the barracks and given a cloak and dagger and a tattoo. He knew these items are the implements and weapons of the Silver Shadow Clan. He started to realize the King of Mount Roma was a member of the Silver Shadow Clan as well.
When working as city patrol for Mount Roma, he got teamed up with none other than Arne. He found out that his brother was passing through town and wanted to pick up a patrol job and wasn't expecting to see Alfred. However, this day they were guarding the Bookbinders Guild. The very day everything felt like a trigger for something terrible to happen soon. Something terrible happened indeed. An attack broke out inside the Bookbinders Guild, and while defending himself, Alfred lost his life in the fight. Arne went to his brother's side and refused to fight any longer. That was when a Dwarf, water Genasi, and a gold Dragonborn entered and prevented the destruction of the Bookbinders Guild. Arne noticed that the Dwarf was a cleric and begged that he try and save Alfred. The Dwarf was Chaim Rokkeshod, a cleric of Trithereon. This Dwarf was able to bring Alfred back from the land of the dead.
While dead, Alfred noticed a beautiful female say to him, it's not your time, and to see guidance from the Dwarf. So he sought out Chaim Rokkeshod and started to become an Acolyte of Trithereon. He dedicated hisself to Chaim Rokkeshod's studies and ritual practicing of Soul Kindling. Alfred underwent a massive life-changing event by taking up this new mantel.
After some time, Alfred became a Paladin of Trithereon. He even passed his mentor Chaim Rokkeshod in studies as his mentor converted his prayers to the true Dwarf god Moradin. He ended up helping Chaim Rokkeshod and the rest of the Talons on various missions to destroy the Silver Shadow Clans' influence. These events lead to the battle of the undead scourge on the Kingdom of Saundersfoot.
After all, the fighting with the Silver Shadow Clans ended. Alfred set off to Arpin to dedicate his time in The Temple of Trithereon.. He started to train some of his Acolytes of Trithereon. While staying here, Alfred ended up warding off many pirate and bandit raids from the east. In doing so, he fell in love with a most unlikely person. He fell in love with Ascelin Veabrid even though she had a child with Syldan Liadon. Alfred is always there for Ascelin Veabrid and is in the process of courting her in his later life.
Currently, Alfred has acquired the title of Warlord of Arpin. The title is only given to him by those out of Arpin and those that don't respect him. He was given this title for being a formidable foe in defending Arpin from raids. Some of the people of Arpin dislike his battle tactics when searching for relics in the Del'Rae Desert.
