Dragon Species in World of the Book | World Anvil

Dragon

Dragons are beings whose relative power, health, and longevity are all subject to modification. Dragons magically react in the presence of gold, becoming stronger, faster, and more ambitious, as well as long-term exposure to gold will lengthen a dragon's lifespan to nearly a dozen centuries.   Dragons also have the unique ability to develop two distinct forms, their human-like form and their draconic form both develop concurrently, and seem to impossibly share the same space. Dragons develop the ability in adolescence to transform from one form to another at will, but this will take them several years. In their human-like form they retain their glowing, dragon eyes, as well as have sharper teeth and longer, stronger fingernails than most humans.
