Eternal Tower

The Eternal Tower is a tower in Corvuscopia that serves as the headquarters of Doniakal. It is the former home of Lord Cacophony, and is one of the tallest structures in all of Wagakeya.

Purpose / Function

The base of the tower was originally built as a place of worship. The rest of the tower was constructed as a home for Lord Cacophony, but it has since been repurposed into a research facility, hospital, and refugee sanctuary operated by Doniakal. The tower receives wounded, ill, and/or homeless individuals from throughout Wagakeya and provides them with shelter and medical care. It also serves as a home for many of the scientists employed by Lord Cacophony.
Show spoiler
Lord Cacophony intends the tower to house a superweapon capable of annihilating the gods.

Alterations

The tower has been under further construction for the last several years, getting taller and taller with every passing year.   As attacks on the tower by the gods have increased, a magical force field was erected around the tower that keeps the spirits at bay. The consequence of this force field is that only arcane magic may be used in and around the tower.

History

The tower originally was an Auroch temple. Following the fall of Minoan civilization, the temple went for centuries without use until Lord Cacophony chose the temple as the site of his new home. Lord Cacophony felt construction of his tower over a place originally intended to glorify the gods would be the perfect sign of revolt against the gods' rule.   After Lord Cacophony created a new residence via magic, the tower was repurposed into a headquarters for his scientific organization, Doniakal.
