People of the Pendulum
The People of the Pendulum are a secret society of devout Typhon worshippers centered in Wagakeya. They are internationally identified as an extremist cult. Members of the cult may be recognized at a glance by the ghostly white vestments and tall capirotes that they use to conceal their identities with.
Structure
The People of the Pendulum organize their ranks into specific roles. Because cult members largely hide their identities, their capirotes are color-coded so that others may identify a member's role at a glance. The roles of the People of the Pendulum are as follows; these roles are unknown to most of society:
- Show spoilerBlack - Cult Leader
- Blue - Regional Leader: largely autonomous, but ultimately serves the cult leader
- Show spoilerRed - Fighter: responsible for protecting other cult members through physical attacks
- Orange - Show spoilerOffensive Mage: uses offensive magic while on missions
- Show spoilerYellow - Sniper: responsible for protecting other cult members through long-range attacks
- Green - Defensive Mage: uses defensive support magic while on missions
- Show spoilerLight Blue - Maintenance: responsible for the upkeep of cult hideouts; the similarity between this rank's hood and that of the regional leader symbolizes that even the bottom of the ladder can rise to the top
- Show spoilerPurple - Scientist: conducts research on behalf of the cult
- Show spoilerGrey - Beast Master: fights with the aid of a Spirit or animal
- White - Show spoilerMedic: responsible for ensuring the health of other cult members
Public Agenda
The goal of the People of the Pendulum is to slay good people of the world and release fiends into the mortal world in order to correct their perceived imbalance between good and evil.
Assets
Because of how the cult is organized, each regional leader is largely responsible for their own branch's assets. Some branches can be well-funded, whereas others may be severely underfunded.
Tenets of Faith
The People of the Pendulum believe that the universe operates best when good and evil are perfectly balanced. Furthermore, they are of the opinion that the number of good beings in the world greatly outnumbers the number of evil beings.
