O.P.G.A Grotto for Gifted Goblins

The O.P.G.A. Grotto for Gifted Goblins was a school built up from a gobling nursery in Goblin Town by the artificer Of the Forge the Spark. He named it after four goblins who sacrificed themselves to save a baby goblin. As a testament to their sacrifice, Spark built a school for orphan goblins that also served as a refuge for blue goblins. Unfortunately, the school was razed in an attack by Infernal Forces hunting for blue goblins. The survivors have since regrouped off-world.

Ol' Sparky and I are expert carousers and we like to "Smash the Circle" and get drinks around the Pit at least once a year. One time, deep in his cups, my little pal told me that the baby they saved was actually a sack full of rags! He felt so guilty about it, he named his school after those four poor gobbos! I'm sad that the GGG got decimated, but I hear they've rebuilt it on the Silversong Moon!

The goblin artificer Of the Forge the Spark used his proceeds from the Blackjack Trading Troupe to establish a school for orphaned goblins next to his workshop in Goblin Town. It was an expansion from a nursery that he started early in his adventuring career to care for orphans that he would find in his travels.

The school was additionally financed and staffed by Spark's "Of the Arcanum" alumni associates from Wizard's Peak University. They sought to improve the lives of goblins in the Kirinal Concordance Zone and to hide Blue Goblins from those who sought to exploit them.

Unfortunately, after a few years of relative peace, the school was destroyed in an attack by the Infernal Forces when Spark was away on a mission on the other side of the world. The far-flung army of devils sought revenge on the goblin artificer for his interference in the city of Zabar. His poor students paid the price for his successes against their draconic armies.

Fortunately, Spark was able to bring the survivors to the Blue Aria of the moon where they rebuilt the Grotto in the goblin settlement of Jennook.

I'm glad they have managed to rebuild it off world. Those poor goblins. I am glad they didn't know it wasn't really a baby. ;-;

This whole thing is based on in-game shenanigans from one of my gaming groups. That's where a lot of my best stuff comes from!

I see this is at least somewhat inspired by players that makes a lot of sense. They are great inspiration... and is it really even a player group if they don't destroy at least one orphanage, accidently or on purpose?

Check out some of my summer camp articles, like the dangerous flying jackalope or dragon wasps. Or, for something more light-hearted, there is the whimsical language Gobbledygook and Jaden's interesting job as a guano polisher.

You can definitely follow the wake of a group of PC's by looking for crying orphans!
