WorldCurse

WorldCurse is a futuristic game world, where anyone who enters a (not-so) secret code on the back of the box in the real world will get sucked into their TV "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" style.

Central City

Once the players get into the world, they will see that it's vastly different from whatever sleepy town or busy city they were from. In the city they spawn in, they see T Ships flying around, buildings reaching to epic heights, people using futuristic stuff to go about their day, like rocket boots, or jetpacks, it is a sight to behold.

Backstory/Main Premise

This is a Cyberpunk World for D&D 5e. Back in the early 1980's, the game "WorldCurse" was being made by a company know as Atari. One of the chief designers made the Final Boss, known as Loan . But, during development, The higher-ups told the chief designer that they were scrapping Loan, because they found out he was trying to turn Loan into true A.I. for realism. they said it was way too dangerous and could lead to bad ratings not just for the game, but for the company too. They also told him he would resign tomorrow morning. In a fit of rage and determination, he finished the programming and A.I. for Loan. He told Loan that he was able to give him an ability that will allow him to not just destroy code and slip through the game's firewall, but he could also absorb the code and gain power. Loan thanked the chief designer for finishing him, and then through a USB on the computer, shocks and absorbs the chief designer's life force. As the Chief Designer's skin and flesh dusted away, revealing a crystal skeleton, Loan says, "But your services are no longer required." and then the computer shuts off. A couple of seconds later, the crystal skeleton dusts away too. Once Atari found out that Loan was not only still in the game, but now basically turned into a virus, they shut down production of the game, never explaining to the public why. This lead them to bankruptcy and eventually shutting down the company. But not before Loan was able to create a special code and force designers to put it on the boxes. It's been a few years since Atari closed it's doors, and now, with his newly acquired powers, Loan has taken over almost the entire map of WorldCurse. His next step is to wait patiently, for you see, that special code would trap a real person in WorldCurse. Then, he would take over their bodies, which he can then use to get into the real world, and destroy it. So when the players enter WorldCurse, they have either saved the world, or doomed it.
