Isle of Jargos

Geography

The Isle of Jargos is a roughly circular island, with a small lagoon in the center of it, connected by a thin outlet into the Draenean Sea. The island is covered in dense, hilly jungle, with many sheer cliffs and large hills. In the central lagoon, there is another smaller island, with a dual-faced statue depicting a Giant Hero and a Giant Goddess of the Sea.

Ecosystem

The Isle of Jargos is largely populated by small tropical birds, small mammals, crustaceans, and an abundance of snakes and other serpentine animals. Many of these snakes have been recorded as speaking, though since the death of an unnamed Naga that lived on the island, it is yet to be confirmed whether or not they still do. Also inhabiting the island were a sizeable number of plant creatures. Most of these plant creatures were either the murderous Assassin Vines that plagued the dense jungles, or the friendly Leshies that lived hidden within the trees. There was also at least one Scythe tree on the island, but it was killed by the Laurel Bearers. Furthermore, there is a decent number of minor giants, such as Ogres or Trolls living on the island, along with a newly returned group of Sea Giants.

Localized Phenomena

The Isle of Jargos was plagued by oddly frequent and disastrous storms for many years, causing nearly any ship that strayed too close to crash on its shores. However, since the slaying of the unnamed Naga that lived there, the Isle has experienced much more favorable and natural weather.

History

The Isle of Jargos pulls its nickname, The Isle of Five Knives, from a legend of five crash-landed pirates who killed each other in paranoia while stranded on the island, leaving behind five knives said to unlock a mysterious chest.
