Caians
There is a group of people worldwide who believe in a single god: Caia the Just. Their beliefs dictate that she is the only true deity, and that all Lords and Ladies - and their followers - are heretics.
They attempt to spread their word of monotheism throughout Wyrmwuld, although many worshippers keep their religion secret to avoid the ire of the Lords and Ladies.

Tenets of Faith
- Worship no beings other than Caia. All fey "deities" (the Lords and Ladies) are false and heretical.
- Those who accept Caia and her teachings are forgiven their pasts, so long as they are genuinely repentant.
- Only Caia has access to the Upper Planes, and only souls commended to her may join her there after death. All other souls become fodder for the undead, or are banished to wander forever in the Outlands, never able to move on.
- Do not intermingle with other races - keep all races distinct and separate.
- Do not eat the flesh of the beasts, as it will encourage a beastly heart. (However, it is common for Caians to eat fish)
- To cover one's face or head is considered to be "hiding" from Caia and is discouraged, lest you be seen as dishonest or heretical.
- Hard work and denial of the self are the path to virtue.
Priesthood
Priests of Caia must have no earthly possessions besides the rags on their backs, maintain no relationships beside their "charges," and must spill their own blood in order to seek her wisdom. Therefore, they are often filthy, awkward, and scarred.
Caian priests travel the world to spread the word of Caia, and live off the charity of others - either fellow Caians or softhearted "heretics."
