The Dark City of Driacleic
The second largest city in The Underdark, Driacleic is known as The Dark City due to its infernal ties. Aside from housing the deep-dwelling mortal races, it is also home to "the fairer fiends" such as Incubi, Succubi, Erinyes, and Cambion. An uneasy truce lies over the head of the city, largely orchestrated by the leader of the city, Torog, The King That Crawls.
The city is surrounded by the dangerous Feral Underdark, but there is a passage to the overworld that was constructed to allow trade. This exit is located in southern Todmorden.
Demographics
The ruling class consists of the King and his court of Fairer Fiends, humanoid/beautiful creatures of infernal origin. The middle class is primarily Drow, but with some notable merchants of other races such as the Svirfneblin. The lowest class is comprised mostly of "fouler fiends" and servants of overworld races: humans, mostly.
Government
The city is governed by the hedonistic King Who Crawls, whose demands for earthly supplication keep the city running. Tributes are required even from the Court, and this constant need for new foods, treasures, and experiences mean that Driacleic is a common destination for avaricious - and unscrupulous - merchants.
Infrastructure
The city is built inside a naturally-existing gaping ravine within the Feral Underdark. Buildings are either carved into the cliff sides, or built out from them. The city is connected by a network of bridges which cross the depths.
