Auctor
As the highest administrator in Estalia, the Auctor is an extremely renowned position. One can hold this position for 10 years, after which they cannot be appointed to the position again. During the final year of the Actor's term, several rounds of reviews and interviews are completed primarily by the Senate and the House of Order, as well as other groups such as The Silver Legion and The White Mice. Candidates for this position include senior administrators throughout Estalia; all of which typically have +30 years of experience.
The Auctor has two primary duties; they act as adjudicators and administrators for Senate debates, and they consult Arkanos, The Great Weaver to interpret The Grand Plan.
As adjudicators, they make sure that Senate debates both follow proper decorum and make sure the discussion is focused on the topic at hand. This is typically a very tiresome task, as disputes between senators is extremely common, and the code of conduct in the Senate Chambers is very strict. This duty is the primary task of the Auctor, and many find it the easiest due to their previous career experience.
The second duty is far unlike what they've previously done. Once a month, the Auctor is to climb to the top of Ordo Tower to consult Arkanos, The Great Weaver. They are typically accompanied by one or two senators, however, this is not a requirement. During this meeting, the Auctor transcribes the exact words of Arkanos, which is presented to the Senate during their next debate. Arkanos' words are never clear, and are open to many different interpretations. Those Auctors who seek to use this private audience with a Totem to their benefit will quickly find themselves under the watchful eye of the House of Order.
