Black Whales

The waters between mainland Estalia and the Northern Isles are dangerous. Between the cold, dark waters to errant storms sent east from The Roil, many people and animals tend to avoid it. However, this is the home of the Black whales.
Their name comes from their pitch-black skin, which they rely upon to hide in their murky home.
However, these whales are under almost constant threat from predators, ranging from the smallest Hullbreaker Crabs to the largest in the Estalian Whaling Fleet. Their meat is incredibly tender, and is considered a delicacy.
