At first meeting, Brock was a simple earth genasi mining with a village in the mountains. Elloyra had been having a promising career discovering deposits of gold thanks to her griffin companion, Umbracowl. The senses of her griffin would bring Elloyra to Brock's doorstep where they would find together uncover a sizeable deposit. After splitting this find the two would depart eachother's company until a handful of years later. Returning from half a decade of adventuring, Elloyra would again stop in on her old friend. Brock would tell her of tales of a great opal deposit inled with gold and gems rumored to be somewhere in the mountains surrounding. A deposit so great it could put generations to work. The two would once again set off, after some time in the wild of the mountains they would finally trigger the senses of Umbracowl. This would lead them to a vast cavern and the start of the rich deposit. However, this system was inhabited and the two would have to battle for their lives out to even tell the tale. The story of the cavern is its own tale, but after surviving by each other's side the two had grown to care for one another. In 1419 the two would be married and began construction on an estate within the mountain. They would also begin employing miners which would settle a small city at the base of the estate. In 1420, Elloyra would give birth to their first child.
