The Barrens

The tidally locked face of the world of Xieon, charged by the solar energies of the sun it acts as a gateway for multiversal stoways to be plucked. Each grain of sand in the Barrens is a window to another universe, when particular grains are charged enough by the planets energies, they pop into to momentary gate pulling subjects and objects into the Barrens.
Many factions have fought over this desert, many joining forces to attempt to reach the Bountyside. These multiversal refugees became known as 'otherwolders'.
