Bicolouration
Bicolouration, bi-coloured eye, or split eyed, is a genetic anomaly that results in a robot having two different colours in their iris. The two colours may be divided evenly (most common), or with one colour using less space or being a spot.
Bicolouration is fairly uncommon, and is estimated to only be present in 1/1,000* robots.
Bicoloured robots can pass on their colouration to their offspring and further descendants.
SYMPTOMS & EFFECTS
Most bi-coloured robots will be born with perfectly normal vision at birth. However, split eyed robots have a slightly higher chance than single coloured robots to develop vision loss and problems later in life.CAUSE
Bi-coloured eye is believed to be entirely random. Their eye colour is usually a mix of both of their parents, and very rarely that of a grandparent's, great-grandparent's etc.TREATMENT & PROGNOSIS
In early life bi-coloured robots rarely need medical treatment. As they age they may need corrective surgery to alleviate vision loss. Unfortunately like white eye, there is no complete cure for vision loss/degradation.SOCIETY & CULTURE
