Mattheusz van Pikkett
The van Pikketts are a rich noble family from Sydlershavs. Over the centuries they invested several times into attempts to create new settlements in the Hiyndurill forest, in hope of harvesting the wood for profit, but also increasing the families reputation by supporting the creation of a lasting foothold in the forest.
The family also spent a lot of effort in mixing with elves living in the Realm and Mattheusz is the success of their marrige politics. His elvish mother isn't of high blood or status and enjoyed the chance to join the human nobility leaving her little village behind, while his father proudly presents his son as the perfect new blood of the next generation.
Mattheusz grew up with all his wishes and needs fullied by his father, who also took good care of making sure his son would not just carry the family name, but also accomplish something grand. Colonizing the Hiyndurill forest would be the perfect achievement and both of them see his elvish blood as the perfect rally cry to gain support of elven within the Realm who might face less resistance by the forest dwelling cousins.
While well educated by humans, Mattheusz utterly lacks elvish tutelage and it shows. His understanding of elvish society is that of an outsiders, especially when it comes to those of higher standings as his mother has no meaningful relationships in those regards. He is a elkani nobleman through and through, proud of his elvish blood, but with no understanding of what it entails.
