Human - Elkani
After the Dragon Alliance freed the humans of their Sahuagin masters and conquered the Elven Empire humans started to adopt more and more influences from elves. As years went by there was a more and more defined split between the western human territories still following the Morskani traditions and those strongly influenced by the elven culture.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
The heartlands speak the original Elkanski that is a version of Morskanski that is heavily influenced by elven grammatic and has a lot of elven words in it. In the east and south east some orcish influences can be felt, but often the aristocracy will stay true to the northern Elkanski or even use Elvish.

Elkani are striving to be more similar to the elven cutlure or even surpass it, so they left behind Morskani ideals. To an outsider there is no connection between these two.

Culture and its advancement is important. Education, art and science are highly valued. Individual excellence is desired.
Art & Architecture
Art and architecture are heavily influenced by elven works in every field. Humans try to aspire to it, sometimes just giving it a personal spin to stick out. Overall its highly flamboyant and extravagant to the point that elves would consider it distastful kitsch.
Self expression is very important for the artists' reputation that's why they constantly try to surpass each other by re-imagining elven shapelanguage or prose.

Coming of Age Rites
Once children reach their sexual maturity they tend ot be married and thus gain independence from their parents. Until they are not married off they are considered part of their father's household and not able to decide for themselves.
Funerary and Memorial customs
They burry them underground or if wealthy enough in mausoleums.

Nanamir the Great unified the lands that are now regarded as Elkani.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Elegant bodies, extravagance to show off prosperity and culture. Makeup is used by both sexes. Being pale is desired for those in the norhtern parts, while dark skin is also desired in the south - as long as something is presented in an extravagant way its interesting and 'beautiful'.
Gender Ideals
Living up to the role one picks in life is more important than clear gender separation. In reality this only affects nobility as poor people tend to have males working the fields or other physically demanding jobs, while females tend to children.
Courtship Ideals
Very formal, asking parents for permission. Dowry is expected.
Relationship Ideals
Monogamy.
Major organizations
Realm of the Middle is seen as the unified nation of all primarilly Elkani territories.
