Saskia Exalted Lightbringer of Iiudash
Saskia was originally from Kolden, but moved to the Kingdom of the Phoenix to further her studies as priestess of Iiudash. She proved herself to have a talent to gain people's trust and make them work together despite their differences and on top of that she showed a clear dedication to the church itself making her rise through the ranks quickly.
Highly regarded by her fellow priests she was sent to Rykthaven to take over the temple as high priestess in hope that someone with elkani roots might be better received than a morskani priest of Iiudash. Her stay in the city proved to be a successful one for most parts. Except some elkani hardliner as Adelberg van Kymden most learned to appreciate her role as beacon on order and neutrality in the city. Together with her right hand Olric Fireheart she openly reached out to communities in need of help and protections from dangers lurking in the dark bringing the light of Iiudash with her.
During the Day of the Demons in 436 Y.o.U. she fought the cultists of decay in the streets of Hiven and made the hard decision to burn those civilians that were affected by the curses of the demon worshipers. A decision that weighted heavy on her mind, but she trusted that Iiudash would not have granted her the spells to burn those innocents if he didn't think it was the right thing to do.
After burning the houses with civilians inside she and Olric Fireheart where put to trail on demand from Obus Beq. After a passionate speach from Bloddwyn Bluainach both were set free and their charges dropped. She accepted Bloddwyn's confession about killing Adelberg, as he presented her with the evidence of his crimes. While she apologized for not knowing about these schemes thus not have been able to prevent it, she didn't approve of the murder, but also didn't condem the three friends that were involved. The high priestess showed herself as protector of the poor when Bloddwyn discovered a gate in Shadowtown that conntected this plane to the Shadowfell. Saskia and Olric dispelled this opening with a great effort gaining the trust and support from the people of the district. Later when Bloddwyn uncovered the truth about the Reaver's lies regarding the civilians being affected by a plague Olric would attack the Reaver compound to help Bloddwyn free his friend. Saskia on the other hand refused to break the law and instead insisted in going through the proper channels reaching out to Rickard Morinth. Saskia disagreed with Bloddwyn's methods while at the same time sympathising with his goals. This is the reason she didn't simply hand him over to the authorities after the raid on the Reaver compound. She also welcomed him back in 438 YoU before the city council accepted the Inquisition's plea to abstain from a trail against him because of the murder of Adelberg van Kymden. Through out those two years that followed the 'Night of Demons' of 436 YoU the high priestess kept an vigilant eye on the development in and around the city. Careful to not provoke further conflicts within the city as fiendish agents, their allies as well as internal foes kept distablizing the city's defense. In this sense she reached out to her church for further support requesting just two temple guards to help with matters in the city. With Bloddwyn's return she became one of his advisers and a moral guide reminding him that there is a path in the light, which might not provid the quick and easy results, but can inspire others.
