Verderik Niklance, 'Black Lace'

Verderik Niklance is a self-made man. He grew up in the poor districts of Eversted, but through pure shrewdness he came out on top. These days he is mainly known for his fashion shop in the center of the city, but while he is dressing the nobles in their finest outfits rumors say that he has some contacts to cities underworld.

The cities nobles have no interest in any of those rumors attempting to paint him in bad light. One of the reasons are his donations to orphanages and even paying for promising childrens admission fews to get proper tutalage. While many might assume that there are some illicite deals in his past, he is far too successful and interesting at the moment to waste time with that.

Dispite his young age he thus managed to ensure his positon in the city as a well connected and highly entertaining individual that gets invitations to all major high society events. At the same time he makes sure to keep a level of mytery around him to - as he puts it - keep the buzz around him going.
