Iron Mesa

General Description:

An Iron Mesa is a geographical phenomenon that on the surface appears to be a normal formation of a similar name, but its true nature is revealed when a mine is dug in its side. For as soon as you crack the exterior, a miner will find that the mesa has an abnormally high iron content. In addition, it may also contain a large amount of refined metal which is not made through natural means, such as steel.
Giants will claim that they are evidence of their great city which covered the whole of Yaroth but was centered mainly in the heart of the world. This claim is backed up by the fact that only the Titans of old would have been large enough to utilize these supposed structures. An alternative explanation is that the high magical presence and frequent appearance of a nearby Deep Well spontaneously alters the nearby rock, which although possible, rarely occurs frequently enough to explain the sheer size and linearity of these metal deposits.
