Grand Vizier Jafar plot
A community of Aarakocra live high up in the Balkan mountains and founded the city of Ioron. They fight for the good of defending the portal to their home world, the Elemental Plane of Air, located on the sacred mountaintop of Mt. Dysorou. They fear a nearby portal to the Elemental Plane of Earth, the homeland of their sworn enemies, is being uncovered by the industrious people of the Northern Frontier and could threaten their home world.
The Aarakocra decided to take action and promote Jafar the Sorcerer to the title of Grand Vizier, who has promised to help the Aarakocra wage war against the allegedly evil people of the Northern Frontier. Jafar helped the Aarakocra recover a gold idol of a parrot by employing a band of adventurers to retrieve it for him. With this gold idol in hand Jafar and the Aarakocra priests teleported to the summit of Mt. Dysorou via a large teleportation circle within his palace. Upon the snow capped mountain summit the priests placed the gold idol upon a large alter and began a summoning ritual. A portal to the Elemental Plane of Air temporarily opened up high above their heads in the sky and out of it flew an enormous, legendary bird creature called a Roc, who has a wingspan of 250 ft. when in flight and can perch on the tops of mountains.
Jafar and the Aarakocra intend on using the Roc to cause mass destruction to the unsuspecting people of the Northern Frontier for their mining and digging insolence. Jafar also has powerful allies in Persia with the Goblins, who promised to aid the Aarakocra attack the people of Thrane.
Before the war can commence Jafar was convinced to send a team of scouts to the city of Echedoros to investigate the mining operation there and report back with what they find.
