Centaur Uprising
The Centaur uprising was the biggest uprising in history, taking place in the Tropics roughly 1.5 million years ago. According to history, the rising population of harmonids forced the centaurs into smaller territories, and the centaurs got fed up and mad about this, so they decided to rebel and fight back, unfortunately losing.
The Conflict
Prelude
Harmonids travelled to the Tropics after inventing the boat, 1.8 million years ago. They took over the entirety of Southland and Tropacia, not realising that it was already inhabited by other races, mostly the centaurs who roamed the plain savannas. Harmonids marked the lands they wanted to build on, directly interfering with the centaur territories, really angering them.
Deployment
The centaurs officially ignited the war 1.5 million years ago, after harmonids had constructed the city now known as Tahonda straight in the middle of centaur territory. The centaurs gathered together in their thousands, using an array of weapons, from crossbows and regular bows to giant spears tipped with poison.
The harmonids gathered in one large army, using every single weapon they brought on their boats, ranging from bows and spears to thin swords and daggers. The winged harmonids had a clear advantage, being able to fly straight over the harmonids and shoot down.
Battlefield
The battles took place all over the country of Southland, mostly in the centre, where the centaur capital existed. The harmonids and centaurs both took shelter on separate sides of a line clearly drawn through the ground, and when one person charged the entire army would follow, meeting up at the line with the opponent, ready for battle.
Conditions
The harmonids were in much rougher conditions, fighting in foreign land with short supplies of food. Boats were sent out every few days to bring food, drink and medical supplies from their homes in Vustrimia back to Southland.
On the other hand, the centaurs had a plentiful supply of food and resources, since their homeland was right on the island. Troopers were sent on scout missions to grab as many resources as possible while those back at the centaur villages worked hard to create those supplies.
The Engagement
The biggest battle was the Fight of the Line, the first proper fight. It took place a day after the line was created, when one centaur charged at the harmonids. A hundred and two centaurs were shot with bows or sliced by swords, and 67 harmonids died, being shot out of the sky with the centaurs' crossbows and then beaten to death. After 6 years on the line, the line was closed and each opponent went their separate ways, and whenever they ran into each other again another fight brewed.
Outcome
The harmonids, having won, continued the construction of their cities and other settlements, while the centaurs were left stranded in smaller and smaller territories, constantly shrinking.
Aftermath
Centaurs went extinct simply because there was no food, water or resources to support an entire race of creatures. Slowly the species went extinct, giving harmonids free reign on the island.

Strength
Harmonids had the ability to fly, which gave them a huge advantage against the centaurs. They had strong weapons, and had great aim.
Centaurs had the speed harmonids did not, having a horse' body they could travel long distances without tiring. They also had short and long range weapons, allowing for a range of attacks.
Casualties
The centaurs also had bows, and could shoot the harmonids out of the skies. When the harmonids landed they were then beaten to death with clubs and other weapons.
The centaurs were at risk from above, since harmonids could fly and shoot them down from above. The harmonids also had daggers and throwable weapons to launch at the legs of centaurs, bringing their heavy bodies down.
Objectives
Harmonids wanted to take control of Southland, from the already reigning centaurs.
The centaurs needed to defend their land from harmonids, and take reign over from them after the colonisation.
Art of war tip number 420: if your enemy is centaurs, make stairs all around your city defence. it works everytime. Honestly there aint much to add on. Maybe this: where centaur cultural objects kept as historical value or bounty to sell by thw inning side, leaving a trace of the centaur legacy, or was msotly everything razed ? And how long took the extinction to come after they lost this war ? (of course its ideas to develop but dont go edit them right now if you want to ! cause you can lose the prizes raffles/badges stuff if editing is done during the freeze period). Overall a good and clear read. Happy Summercamp!
Thank you! Glad you liked the article. I will definitely think about those things you mentioned, and add them as soon as I can :)
