Improbium

Improbium is a chemical element with the symbol Ft and atomic number 121. It is a hard metal, obtained by digging in the earth and finding large veins of this metal. It is a light grey metal, malleable, shiny. It is often used in buildings, in the infrastructure. Its sturdiness provides good support.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Improbium is a light grey metal, it is very malleable and shiny. It is able to be molded into many shapes, which makes using it for infrastructure easy.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Improbium is very malleable. Its foldable properties means that it is used in infrastructure. It is also very strong and hard to snap.

History & Usage

Everyday use

Improbium, being a very strong but malleable metal, is used to layout modern housing. They serve as the vital foundation and structural support of houses, commonly in tech based villages and cities worldwide. The most famous example is Kerbalt, the capital of the Western District.

Refinement

Improbium is found in ore veins deep underground. When the ore is retrieved, it must be smelted to extract the metal itself. The ore is uncommon and a lot of it is needed to produce masses of this metal.

Manufacturing & Products

Fortress metal is the name of a metal compound created from improbium and copper. Mixing the two together creates a strong orange metal, when rusts it turns a greenish blue. This metal is used for weapons as the improbium provides strength and the copper makes it look nicer as an orange and also makes it cheaper since less improbium is used and copper is cheaper.

Reusability & Recycling

Improbium can easily be recycled. Broken down buildings are often scavenged for improbium beams to be reused for new buildings.
