Inky Isles
The Inky Isles make up every single island in the Ink Kingdom, under the continent Aecotia. The majority of these islands are pest-free and people-free, leaving wildlife to live its life unencumbered by any danger.
Geography, Location & Climate
The Inky Isles consists of over thirty thousand islands. Typically quite rocky, some islands are wrapped in long stretches of flat sandy beaches, that even form bridges to other islands in low tides.
Temperatures reach around thirty to forty degrees Celsius year-round, with little differentiation between seasons. The Inky Isles are one of few regions on Osao that aren't muggy - the air is crisp and dry here, which is why few slimes live here as they are much more comfortable in muggy climates.
The water in the archipelago reaches around thirty degrees Celsius, creating frequent minor thunderstorms. About two hundred storms form in a single year, which lasts 146 days.
Ecology
The wildlife in the Inky Isles is diverse. Ecosystems have been unsullied by slime civilisations, leaving animals to thrive in their natural habitats. Bird and fish species are most common, such as Gelletti's penguins and bulkhead dolphinfish.
The Inky Isles boasts a large number of endemic species. Many islands are completely isolated and flightless animals have diverged and adapted to their unique environments.
