People's Association
Documents & Database
The People's Association is collectively run by over two thousand employees. Each employee is tasked with the studying of one intelligent life form after another. It takes a very long time to fully study a species, so each employee is given as long as they need to document every single minor detail of the species' existence and cultures.
The database of species is organised by planet. When the first sapient species on a planet evolves, it causes a new category for said planet to emerge. One famous example is the saurian species on Earth. There is an average of 10 million words of data documented for each intelligent life form - and with a total of 350 million sapient species in the Yonderverse, that makes for an unfathomable amount of data within the database.
Discovery of Time Travel
Stable time travel is something that most people in the Yonderverse cannot even dream of. Time travel is extremely complicated, for obvious reasons, therefore solving how to safely travel through time took thousands of years. The People's Association spent this long developing safe time travel so they could go back in time and study the sapient species that existed before the organisation. The first people to be sent back in time were a pair of cilvarthian scientists, Aipo and Eiki, tasked with studying the saurian species.Studying Extinct Life Forms
Studying extinct life forms still proves to be a difficult task, thanks to the limited communication between the People's Association and those in a different time period.
The first attempt at studying an extinct species occurred on Earth. Scientists Aipo and Eiki were sent back 140 million years to the Late Jurassic Period of Germany, where they studied the saurian species and its many cultures, including arborians and ilvians among many others. A small research station was pre-built by employees of the PA, underground a few miles from a saurian settlement, and for five hundred years they studied every single thing about the species, cultures, and relations to the environments and animals they cohabited with.
This first attempt was so successful that upon returning, the scientists recieved gifts and awards, even a plaque in the Hall of Excellence, dedicated to employees that have either set new standards of studying or have risked their lives for the PA. Quickly, more and more scientists were sent back in time on countless planets, to study all of the intelligent species that lived before them.
You've got a fun world with to much to explore!
Thank you so much!
