Festival of the Great Harvest.

Festival of Food is celebrated with high praise of Demeter. It's a holiday with distant roots that celebrates the plenty full harvest that happens every year. today it is mostly associated with holiday treats, playing pranks, romantic gestures, gag gifts and heavy partying.

History

This holiday started by the halflings on the continent of Azure. The goddess of harvest is very fond of these durable and resilient little creatures. They have always worshipped the goddess of Demeter to get her blessing for harvest. When the non native races migrated over and were discovered by the Wood Elves they adopted this holiday when they saw the bounty that the goddess provided the halflings every year. The rest of YonZora adopted the holiday when the halfling started trading with the rest of the world. The agricultural products blows every one else away. Realms seek these products with great interest.

Observance

This holiday is observed on the last day of Demeter and the first day of Somnus.  This is also a day that does not count on the calendar and is a tax free day.
