Spell Journals
This is a WIP
What Are They?
These ancient and essential manuscripts serve as comprehensive records of various magic types and spells. The collection comprises numerous volumes, each meticulously safeguarded under the vigilant watch of The Council.
Appearance
Spell journals are quite large, being about a metre long and averaging 200 pages, with hard leather-back covers of a specific colour. This colour depicts the magic type the journal is about; green for Nature, orange for Fire, pink for Love, brown for Earth and so on. The cover is decorated with a painted symbol representing the magic type.
Purpose
It is crucial to keep spell journals, as they provide valuable insights into the workings and limitations of different types of magic. Moreover, they serve as an invaluable resource for educating future generations of witches about their magical capabilities.
Coven academy teachers borrow them, with The Council's blessing, of course, to teach and train students.

Historical Details
History
Centuries-old legends suggest that the earliest witches recognized the importance of documenting their understanding of magic. In order to facilitate the study and teaching of magic to future generations, they meticulously chronicled their magical experiments and findings in four distinct books, each meant for one of them. Additionally, as the witches continued to uncover new and distinctive magical abilities, they took to creating individual journals dedicated to these specific powers.
