Birth of Other Mortal Races

The other gods take an interest in the mortal world, creating many other races of their own. Tiamat lashes out against them. The Dragonborn Empire kills and enslaves other races under her command.

Eventually, the other gods take notice of Tiamat's nest, seeing the utterly unique creatures she managed to create, in the form of mortals. As Tiamat did not have the divine authority to stop them, the gods began creating other mortal races to inhabit the material plane.   The first of these were the giants, created by Thrym, Tiamat's rival, who had kicked her from her birth-plane. Shortly after the giants creation, Tiamat lashed out in rage, commanding her children to exterminate what she saw as invaders of her nest. A great war was fought with the giants, nearly bringing them to extinction, and banishing them to the distant corners of the world.   More races were created however, such as Dwarves, Goblinoids, and Halflings. The Dragonborn continued their goddess's command, destroying other civilizations as they found them, and enslaving the "lesser" races.
