Yuruida is a naturally formed, Earth-like planet. However, it orbits closer to its star than Earth orbits Sol, giving the vast majority of land tropical or ultra-hot conditions. As such, the vast majority of species have evolved to live in hot environments and fare incredibly poorly in cold environments.
