Alianna, her Royal Majesty the Queen of Ouvezia

Alianna is the current Queen of Ouvezia. She is a petite, dreamy woman with chestnut brown hair, warm brown eyes and freckles who, despite being the heir to her mother, never put much thought into how to rule over the Queendom of Ouvezia. She is very romantic and somewhat easily impressed, and when a dashing Novali noble visited the Ouvezian court, she fell for him.
Her mother Marianna disapproved of her choice, as she didn't trust Luredan, but as dreamy as Alianna is, she can be very stubborn if she set her heart to something. Still, she would have never married against her mother's will, but her mother soon got struck down by a mysterious illness and died after a short time. Luredan was by her side, helping her sort things out and ruling the land, and after an appropriate time of mourning, the royal wedding was celebrated.
Her sister Serianna, whom she was very close with, disapporved of the wedding and tried to convince Alianna not to go through with it, both because she didn't trust the Novali, given the conservative stance his country has on gender roles, and because their mother opposed it. This put a strain on the sisters relationship, and Serianna left Aresia for a while.
After the wedding, though, Alianna quickly realized the true colors of her husband. Using her dreaminess against her, he dismissed her attempts at participating in political decisions and tried to keep her out of the loop as much as possible. Once she realized this, Alianna was furious and sent for her sister to come back. She waited for an opportunity when her husband was speaking in a public setting with the nobles and openly berated him for trying to wrest political influence from her and for going against Ouvezian values. Luredan tried to protest and calm the waves, but he had gone too far, and now her stubbornness kicked in. In an unprecedented move, she officially changed his title from "King Consort of Ouvezia" to simply "King of Ouvezia" and publicly proclaimed that he was not allowed into her private chambers anymore.
This was an unprecedented move and nothing anyone had expected from the timid Alianna. No one really knows how to react to this situation now. The title of king has not existed before, and no one is sure what his actual political powers are now, and if he still carried the rights of a King Consort. The relations with Novali are strained, since this public disrespect of one of their own by a mere woman does not sit well with their ruling class, despite Luredan being one of hte lesser nobles. None of the influential people of Novali would have wanted to be seen with him before the crisis, but since it was a woman disregarding her role and disrespecting one of their own, emotions are rolling high. Yet, since nothing is clear what the title of King really means and there is no official statement of the palace so far, no one has made a move - yet.
What is clear, though, is that Luredan will not have his offspring sit on the throne of Ouvezia, since the Queen's private chambers are secured by her personal guard and he is barred entrance under all circumstances. Currently, he resides in the guest quarters of the Royal Palace, and if he wants to speak to his Queen, he has to apply for an audience just like everyone else.
Serianna is now back at her sisters side, and as the second in line of inheritance officially represents the queen when she is busy, much to Luredan's chagrin, who always thought of her as a Mannsweib.
