Maeleth
Maeleth is the Goddess of Healing, representing the tendency of all living things to heal, grow and spread, and also to remove things that poison them from their own environment. A sapling, a bandaged wound, a witch-hazel salve; all of these fall under the domain of Maeleth. She is somewhat flighty and aloof in nature, caring for little else other than mending wounds and growing plants.
Aspen trees are regarded as holy plants by the clerics of Maeleth, revered for their ability to bounce back from nearly anything and continue to grow and thrive. Wayshrines and small temples to Maeleth have been known to pop up in aspen groves.
Her clergy work in temples and hospitals to cure the sick and oppose the works of Babal, sometimes traveling to seek those in need of healing. Clerics of Maeleth are often found working side by side with clerics of Fereshteh, working to triage patients and determine which deity they belong to.
Religious views in the clergy of Maeleth vary between those of good alignment and those of neutral alignment, based mostly on philosophical differences. Those of good alignment tend to emphasize the need to eradicate the evils of disease and suffering, and those of neutral alignment emphasize the need of most living things to have a properly balanced environment to thrive in.
Maeleth usually appears as a pleasantly plump woman, with mousy brown hair, a constant grin and a skin tone the pinkish color of freshly healed skin.
