Return of the Star

The Return of the Star was a great boon to the country of Ixtepan, but it spelled disaster for the Riverlands to the south, and for Athering to the north. The balance of power was upset, and Ixtepan had new responsibilities.

On the 20th of Duema, 4021 of the Third Age, Bellica Agate returned the Jade Star to its rightful home in the depths of the Temple in Ixtepan. This caused the Temple to return to its previous configuration, and brought water up from the depths of the earth.   The water flowed into its old river-runs and brought life back to the desert, which transformed into jungle. An earthquake spread from the epicentre of the middle of the country. In Athering, buildings collapsed and fires started. In the Riverlands to the south, the land broke off and fell into the sea. A tsunami destroyed much of what was left.   Ixtepan rose to power again, life given to its barren land once again. The rest of the continent would never be the same.
