First Session Report
General Summary
Started the game at noon. Did the spider fight. Sebastian actually did die in the fight. Vim somehow convinced Nanette that the gnomes were completely at fault, and convinced the gnomes of that as well. Sam and V ran south into the Dulescal district away from them.
Virgilo approached and they took him up on his offer to find Reaching Cup. Backbreaker, the owner of the Smiling giant, told Treecutter about the log rolling competition. They left and went to look at the Munstich Manor. It is a 2-story building in a walled compound. It has a few broken windows, unkempt shurbbery and the door is a large, 9-foot tall 5 foot wide single door that pulls outwards. They looked inside only and saw the foyer, which is 2 staircases in an atrium going up to a second level. A hallway goes directly beneath them in further. Virgilo was persuaded to give them the manor and 100gp as payment.
The auction is on the third day of the harvestfest.
Virgilo then led them out of Munstich Alley, Ian saw that the Binding Flour shop was here. They went north to the Sunken Gemhouse. On the way they saw that the northern section of the Aldedge district was being sanctioned off by guards. They saw the defense balistas, and the dry docks. Eventually they made their way to the sunken gemhouse. Virgilo left them here.
He told them of Alexis but didn't know her name. They forgot to ask. They did talk to Deoch inside. Julian, Treecutter and Artos all talked with him and made friends. They discovered that somebody from the Quayland house left with Reaching Cup last night around 2:00 AM. They shared a drink of the highlander amber. Deoch challenged them to compete against his crew in the log competition. It starts at 3:00 PM each day of the festival.
Cullen talked to Deoch seperately, referring to himself as Barka. He said he is "willing to buy". Deoch thought he meant drugs or magical items. Cullen then said he wants to buy slaves. This angered Deoch and Cullen left.
They looked for a clothing shop, and found the thrift store called Tellish Trinnel (Tellish Trinnels Shop, "Clothing and some other stuff") Inside was the gnomish owenr, Tellish herself. She sold everything inside for 1 copper each. Cullen scared her a bit and she gave him the name of Fredericks Threads.
They went north, John intimidated a civilian into getting directions to the store. They went there, Cullen entered to see a human woman sitting there named Arisa Davolt (granddaughter of the Pellerin). He wooed her a bit and said he was going to a party later that evening at the Quayland manor.
Frederick himself, a half-elf, came out and talked with Cullen. Cullen bullshitted and I went along that the captains of the Iron Sails were having uniforms made here. He said he worked for Captain Glicyne, but fucked up and said he was Admiral Feiron. (He isn't an admiral). Frederick told him to come back in 2 hours and pay the 15 gold for the captains uniform. Cullen failed his deception check and Frederick got suspicious.
Ian then went up and got himself some nice shirts and pants for 5 gold total. White and black for himself and grey and brown for Artos. All silk. Ian also ordered a nice jacket that he needs to pick up tomorrow. He paid for all of it in advance.
They then went to scope out the Quayland manor, it was guarded but they saw the symbol of the house (the circular shield with a spider head in it). They left and went to go see how the log rolling competition is. John tried to see if he saw Alexis but failed his perception check. (She actually was in the dry docks watching the competition.)
They then went up to the shop for Cullen to retrieve his stolen Captains uniform. However, Frederick had called the guards and they began to escrot Cullen to the House of Sovereign Change. They mainly believe he is just kind of insane, but when the other 3 came in around them they got nervous. The PCs didn't do anything as they approached the house of sovereign change.
Session ends as they are being escorted inside.
