Psionics

Psionics is the practice of using one's mind to affect the world around them. There are three categories of psionics:

• Manipulation, causing physical changes to the world. This includes things like telekinesis, mind control, and conjuring a spectral body.
• Telepathy, communicating mentally with other beings. This includes sending and receiving messages, detecting nearby minds, and reading minds.
• Illusionism, manipulating the senses. This includes making a person see, hear, or smell something that isn't there, causing pain, and making something invisible.

Psionics are very rare in most races, with the only known race native to Zelunica among whom psionic ability is common being the Aemet. Because of this, it is unknown where psionic abilities come from and what makes a person able to use them.
Overuse of psionics can result in Psionic Stress. The onset of Psionic Stress is accelerated if users of psionics try to use techniques that are too advanced for them.
