Fiṟa

Fiṟa is the conlang that I have been creating for Zemia. Using the Dictionary feature in the sidebar, you can search for the translations of various words. Many names are a blend of words, such as the Purple Mountain, Şūfmibū, which is derived from the word for Purple, Şūfa, and the word for Mountain, Zemībū.

Pronouncing Fiṟa

Unlike English, Fira doesn't use sounds made of multiple letters like 'th'; each Fiṟan letter corresponds to a single sound (with the exception of Ṉ). Stress is generally put on the penultimate syllable, unless accents indicate otherwise.
This is how to pronounce Fiṟan letters:

Ç - ch
Ş - sh
Ł - w
Ƶ - jz as in french 'je'
Ṉ - ny as in spanish Ñ
Ṟ - rl, rolled r
Ā - ar
Ī, Ē - ee
Ō - oh
Ū - oo

To save me the pain of having to copy-paste the letters all the time, I will often write 'Fira' instead of 'Fiṟa'.
