The Kenbosho (Cen-Bos-Show)

The Kenbosho is an event that is remembered every 6-10 years within Zhen Gho. It is the strangest thing to the citizens of the nation. Suddenly during this time period they remember an old ruins that is an entrace to the Under realm beneath Zhen Gho. This ruin is called Tel Koth and it is the site of an ancient civilization that scholars are still not sure who built it. Part of that problem is that it is forgotten after the short period of a couple months is over. The ruins are so alien in design, and extremely deteriorated today there is almost no way of researching it effectively anymore.

Essentially how this effect works is that for about 3-5 months every 6-10 years everyone in Zhen Gho suddenly remembers this ruin exists. This causes a great race to start up. Adventurers, treasure hunters, thrill seekers, and scholars race to Tel Koth and plunge into the depths. There they seek out as much as they can bring back as fast as they can. Most are looking for treasure and magic items. However there are others who are looking for information, usually a way in which to continue studying or to break this effect. So far no one has come up with a solution, mundane or magical. It is said that this effect even slightly affects the gods, especially when they are on the Zairyo, or material, plane.

Also below Tel Koth is basically a whole other world. Down below are great mazes of tunnels, larger caverns where great cities have been built and are inhabited by lesser known races. One such race that is hated by the Elves is the dark elves, or Drow. Also down there reside the opponents of the Dwarf, the Duergar. A newer race that has made a presence there as well is the Kuo-Toa, a fish aquatic race. The Drow and Duergar have been in a constant battle. And while these effect does alter their memory it is a bit different since they live within these realm below.

Manifestation

These effect doesn't have a physical manifestation. However when the effect seems to be down memories flood into people's brains. It isn't a gradual process. Suddenly one day starting closer to Tel Koth and moving out from there people suddenly remember other times in their life this has opened up. They also remember anything that is directly connected to it and wonder why their mind contrived other stories. Scholars have speculated it is some sort of psychic effect that seems to be beyond anyones magic within Zhen Gho.

Localization

It seems as though this effect is localized to Zhen Gho. People from other nations who have heard of Tel Koth will remember it once they get a certain distance away from Zhen Gho. This has caused people in Zhen Gho and those of other nations to think there is something sentient causing it below the surface, but it only has a certain range.
