Gnome children grow rapidly for the first 5 years (roughly the same rate as humans). From years 5-12 growth is much slower. By age 15 they reach physical maturity. And aging all but stops for close to 80 years until they begin to decline into old age as thet aproach 100 years and beyond.

The Gnomish kingdom has a tentative peace with the Dwarf Empire. As long as the Gnomes are allowed to keep their Queens and their traditions, the two species have peace. Or is it just "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"? The Gnomish Kingdom is at war with the Orc Raiders (enemies of the Dwarves).
