Undergrove
When extreme weather made parts of the world uninhabitable many fled underground for shelter, some of which chose to stay forming their own settlements beneath the earth. One such settlement is Undergrove. Laying deep beneath the expanse of The badlands/ Deadman's trek , Undergrove is self-reliant settlement where technology is sparse.
Demographics
Due to their history of being self-sufficient and closed off to the rest of the world most of the inhabitants are pale skinned with hair colours ranging from red to dark brown.
Government
The settlement is run by a chief, the role of which has past down a familial line since the settlements founding.
Defences
A guarded barricade walls the only entrance making it impossible for outsiders to enter without detection.
Infrastructure
The pathways and roads are made of carved stone and clay with more public areas having finely carved slabs.
Districts
Residential district
The residential district is where the inhabitants of the settlement live, the lower levels are tightly packed with modest dwellings, while the higher dwellings which overlook the settlement are much grander in scale.Market district
The market district is where the residents sell and trade their goods and services, there are blacksmiths, tailors, jewelers, cafe's, a church and most other establishments that the residents mat wish to visit.Farming district
The farming district is the dedicated area for growing food and raising live stock, due to the dark conditions most food grown consists of fungi and types of moss. THeir primary live stock is Carper and Krichel Lizard.Architecture
Most of the architecture is made up of carved stone and mudd, the more humble dwellings are simply carved into the walls themselves.
Geography
The settlement is built into the rock underground, di=ue to the lack of sunlight vegetation is sparse. A dugout spring is the settlements main source of water.
Natural Resources
Living underground the settlements main recourses are stone and clay, they do of course also find ore and gem deposits within the tunnels.
