Korza Evensen

A grey telling of slender figure and alien beauty, Korza is perhaps the most powerful mage of the Bright Shore. His tragic past has lost him not one but two families and he has found himself bound to a devilish power from where he learns his power.

Personal history

Korza’s original family was killed when The Great Elk Tribe attacked his camp. Evan Jorgensen, the tribes leader, offered his father surrender, who spat at his proposal. Korza watched as his father was killed. He tried to defend his father with an axe but was too small to lift it (the only other times he has tried to use this axe he has failed miserably as well and Korza has now given up with it and left the axe in the caverns).   Rather than kill him Evan Jorgensen adopted Korza into the Great Elk tribe and raised him with his two brothers. After a fight that injured Korza and left him with a broken horn Korza made a pact with 2 devils to grant him power in return for servitude.
The Great Elk were prospering until a Drow attack on their closest neighbours, the Iron Dwarves of Kazad Dor, led to the death of Evan Jorgensen. Korza and his brothers never had the leadership skills of their father and when the tribe fell on hard times his brothers blamed him and locked Korza in a chicken coop. This led to Korza developing a deep hatred for chickens.
In order to help free him from imprisonment his patrons gifted him an imp who killed his brothers and stole the keys which allowed Korza to escape the Great Elk tribe and venture further down south.
While visiting the Cathedral of Bahamut in Ville Lyssonne, Vorrash Silvertongue broke in and stole a relic sword on display there. This is where Korza met Solunar and Byron for the first time. Despite trying to stop the theft of the sword, his new companions began stealing relics of their own. Korza and the others were caught in the theft and he was imprisoned for a second time.
Korza was offered early release in return for helping to hunt Drow which appealed to him as he hated Drow anyway after the deaths of several Dwarven friends in Kazad Dor and the death of his first adopted father.
After a short time with the witch hunters Korza realised they were uncomfortably close to a religious cult, with one of his companions making it very clear she disliked him and threatening several times to kill him if she thought Korza had succumbed to the darker pull of his bloodline.
After being reunited with Solunar and Byron (amongst others) by chance, Korza was released from service from the witch hunters when some poisonous gas caused them all to hallucinate and caused one of the witch hunters to have a fit.
After initially planning to ditch the new party when he could, Korza decided to stay with them after forming a friendship with Solunar and Cap Tain and discovering there was more than just one dragonborn behind the theft in the Cathedral of Bahamut.
