Temple of the God of the Stars
Purpose / Function
The temple was build as a place of worship, the temple is said to be a direct link to Nyota God of the Stars. He had a pretty mixed following, this because of the myth Sun and the Moon, where he is said to trap the Goddess of the Moon, Mwezi, into his embrace of the night sky. Still he was honored and respected until the religion evolved, and his temple became less important. Falling in a state of ruin.
Architecture
The temple was a large building like the new church in Delft on planet Earth. Only without the large tower on top of the building, the altar was said to be in the center and the walls decorated with mosaics of the night sky and the stars.
Defenses
It was a temple and so did not need any defenses, it was even for its open door policy. This was because there were no valuable items inside the temple no gold, silver or presses stones. There was however a lot of food, from which the guests were free to take.
History
The year that the temple was build is unknown, this is because the said religion existed in the time before writing things down became a thing. And also moral stories are not helpful to pin down a time period. What is known is that the temple was build in the forest. Which is known for its dark nature, the temple was regular visited by travelers. But round the 1200 the religion changed, and the temple was neglected and over time abandoned. It started to fall apart, and now it is nothing more then a ruine.
Tourism
In the time of the old religion the temple was visited on the daily, with more then thousands visitors each day. But this became less and less when the religion started to evolve. The templers were the last ones who left the building.
Before the temple became a ruin it was fragrantly visited by supporters of the old religion. But that was before the first stone almost fall on a person's head. After that the temple was left alone.
