Session 2 Report

General Summary

The took a long rest in the abandoned orc fort after the battle with the goblins. Strangely Hethress had left during the night without notice. Garreth and Djack decided to head back to Fishtown to deliver the crates of fires kiss back to old Gendrick at the Stiking Ale tavern. They got their well deserved rewards, both from Mistryn and Old Gendrick. Garreth got Old Gendricks rapier. Apparently the town was under threat of pirate raidings so everything was on lock down. Because of this there wasnt much to do, so the party decided to rest and drink at the tavern. They were also pretty tired after dragging along all those crates by a cart they had to pull themselves all the way back to town.   While they were drinking the party met a high elf named Erdan Galandoel, a druid. They all drank togheter and got to know eachother, and they decided to work togheter. Tyryl Bronzebeard joined them, and locked up the whole tavern, so they got the tavern all for themselves. After a good long nights rest, they would all be ready for more action, with newfound power and vitality.   The party decided to help old Madeye with his problem at the graveyard. Here they encountered several reanimated corpses that they had to put back in to the ground. Djack would really get to show his powers and his expertise in using devastating chaos bolts, while Erdans healing powers kept the party up and running. Poor Garreth however would really learn how tough zombies can be.   After killing the reanimated bodies (again) , they went down into the old majors family crypt. Here Djack and Garreths curious nature got the better of them and Garreth stole one of the majors rings. Luckily he had the common sense to leave the most recognizable items in the grave. For example the majors necklace. It was at this moment a earth elemental with some sort of black shadowish mist emiting from his eyers rose from the ground and attacked them. It was one of the more challanging encounters the party have had up to this point. With a thounderous wave of destruction Erdan managed to kill the earth elemental, but in his death the earth elemental exploded, and Erdan got knocked out cold. Upon the earth elementals death the magic that reanimated the dead bodies lifted. And so Garreth and Djack had to carry his body, and burry all the other dead bodies all by themselves (wich took quite a while). While burrying the dead bodies, a figure wich looked like a zombie to the party walked towards them, and without hesitaton Djack and Garreth took action and blasted the poor fellow to smithereens. It was at this moment Djack questioned himself "Wait, didnt we stop the magic that reanimated the corpses?". At closer inspection they could see that they had indeed killed a poor drunk hobo on his way to the tavern. Well, what better place to get rid of a body than at a cemetery?   The players got their rewards and they could now stay for free at The Deadmans rest". Wierdly they declined. After this ordeal, the adventurers went in search of a spyglass, reported to have belonged to Djack Oceans father, Francis Ocean. The trader who had offered Garreth this spyglass earlier however had left the town in the direction of East Gondolin, but the party also learned that the merchant had sold the spyglass to a man who looked to be a hobo. They imidiatly thought it had to be Jimmy the Hobo, so they went in search of him (and it took a while before they found him, finally finding him in "The Deadmans Rest" tavern.   It would be no easy task however to get the information they wanted out of Jimmy. Djack tried his best to keep his cards close to his chest, but it would seem hard to bullshit a bullshitter. Djack asked if Jimmy had any spyglasses, and he didnt want to tell Jimmy to much about how this particular spyglass looked like, or why he wanted it. To this Jimmy replied that he had a whole collection of spyglasses, being quite the collector. After a lot of bribing/donations and sweettalking Jimmy agreed to show the party his spyglasses, and he left to get them. But Djack didnt quite believe that Jimmy would return, asking to tag along instead of waitong for Jimmy at the tavern. Jimmy reluctantly let them in the end, and led them back into the old haunted house and down a hidden hatch in the closet they all had searched so vigorantly earlier.   Down in the hatch they came to a large open rectangular room. Jimmy asked them to wait while he went to the back of the room, and in behind a door hidden behind som old curtains. While Jimmy was looking for his spyglasses, Garreth made an investigation of the room. He revealed that the room was covered in houndreds of different symbols, each representing a different gang or organization. Garreth could see his own gangs symbol represented. Jimmy came back with a large bag full of spyglasses that he spilled out into the room, and he asked Djack if any of the spyglasses was what he was looking for. Unfortunatly Djack couldnt see his fathers spyglass among them. Jimmy had held up his part of the deal, and with a snap of his fingers the party got pushed out and back up the hatch, and the hatch immidiatly dissapared, like it never existed in the first place. What did the party learn from this? Dont fuck with Jimmy the Hobo.   And this is where the session ended...To be continoued.
