Session #6 - The Battle of Timindar Report
General Summary
In the darkening hours of the 14th of Flamerule the party approaches the ruins of the bandit encampment at the old village of Timindar. Stealthfully they approach from the southern edge of town, finding the rogue encampment in the midst of a celebratory dinner. They discover one of the rogues counting out the recent spoils of their pillaging, taking stock of the treasures they've gathered from those that have made their way north along the Old Road. Azmodeus , utilizing his natural magic, binds and knocks unconcious the bandit that was counting. The party then investigates the trove, discovering a small fortune of collected coin, as well as another canopic jar and an ominous chest that has a lock that resembles a horrific one eyed skull. Before the party can spend too much time counting their new found riches, they are nearly discovered by another rogue who was investigating what was taking his companion so long. Stealthfully Ragnos took down the rogue, lethally subduing him. Meanwhile Aela Eridani set about investigating the other buildings of the ruined town. All of this culminated in Azmodeus attempting to ensnare the rest of the rogues in a druidic spell. Whether fate had decreed something else, or the rogues were simply lucky enough to escape his magics, the spell did not bind them as strongly as he had desired. They rushed him and the ensuing melee was brief but lethal. Though the party was victorious, it was a pyrrhic victory, for Azmodeus was killed by the rogues and Landeer nearly suffered the same fate. Through some strange magic Ragnos was able to revivfy his fallen companion, bringing Azmodeus back to the realm of the living. The remnant of that magic now tied within Azmodeus' hair with a single snow-white feather. After the battle, Ragnos returned to Dorgo Stavrog and Boddington Bitterbrook and brought them to the camp at Timindar. There they slept dreamless for the first night since they arrived in the Stonewood area.
